Christian prison idea of former convict

LA Atheist Examiner, Hugh Kramer, announces in a recent article that a press release was issued by Americans United for Separation of Church and State which stated that a proposed “Christian” prison in Wakita, Oklahoma, could not be supported with public funds without violating the separation of church and state mandated by the 1st Amendment of the United States Constitution. The proposed 600 bed prison is the brainchild of Bill Robinson, founder of Corrections Concepts Inc., himself a former convict.

Some cultures call it lucky, others call it auspicious, others call it sacred. In the United States, we tend to associate the number 13 with fear. We also call it unlucky. Friday the 13th, especially if it occurs in October, is exploited by film makers, with zombies, murderers, and all sorts of scary things. Many buildings, do not have a 13th floor. Many businesses will avoid association with the number. Hotels will skip room 13 many times out of superstition surrounding the number 13.
